The Genesis of CBN
In early 2002, five businessmen began meeting together to develop the concept of an organization that would promote the building of quality relationships among Christian business people. Their objective was to hammer out a distinctly Christian model for a business networking organization. Here's how it all began:

They experienced firsthand the wisdom of partnering with other competent and reputable business people who share similar values.

They observed the felt need among Christians to network with other business people in order to identify and explore new business opportunities.

They discovered that this philosophy of partnering with other competent and reputable business people is exactly what many successful companies do well.
After researching well-established business networking organizations, they concluded that in order for CBN to have any relevant impact upon the membership and in the marketplace, we must embrace the following distinctions:

We need to develop a Biblical Worldview in our attempts to Network by the Book™ and to serve Christ in the workplace.

We need to build transitive trust relationships among the membership.

We need to maximize our networking potential - locally, regionally and nationally.

We need to uphold one another as we run the race in the marketplace.
And so the Christian Business Network was formed to assist Christian business people to honor Jesus Christ, to build quality relationships, to enhance business opportunities, and to network, collaborate and synergize with other Christian business people as we Practice Christian Community in the Marketplace. |
