We all have certain standards by which we live, work, and play. Certain standards we establish for ourselves such as, "I will exercise 3 times per week to keep my body in shape." Others are imposed upon us either by God, our spouse, our boss, our culture, etc. However, WE ultimately decide which standards will guide the way we live, and work, and play. And we are the ones who will ultimately receive most of the gain or loss for the standards we choose to guide our life.
"If I am in the habit of continually holding God's standard in front of me, my conscience will always direct me to God's perfect law and indicate what I should do. The question is, will I obey?" (Oswald Chambers - My Utmost for His Highest, May 13)
It is our desire as a network of Christian business associates to understand and establish God's revealed standards as our primary rule of faith and practice - for He alone is the ultimate Judge, and His Word is the standard by which He will judge us.
I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you; however, let us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained. (Phil 3:14-16)
